Pathways AmeriCorps Program

VCC Pathways AmeriCorps Program hosts direct service AmeriCorps members on Vermont college campuses and with community partners in order to increase college aspirations and success among low-income, first-generation, and underrepresented students. Our program supports three direct service cohorts throughout the year.

About

Our Full-Time Program: VCC Pathways is proud to host five full-time members providing direct service support through mentoring, tutoring, and academic enrichment to underrepresented K-12 youth and first-generation college students on Vermont College Campuses. Full-time members receive a bi-weekly living allowance, year-round professional development opportunities, and a Segal Education Award valued at $5,775.00.

Our Ed-Award Only Program: Several of our Vermont college campuses and community partners have come together to support current college students as minimum-time (300-hour) AmeriCorps Members. These students provide support to K-12 youth and first-generation college students through mentoring, tutoring, and other academic supports over the course of two semesters.  As AmeriCorps Members serving the local community, students will also have the opportunity to build their resume and earn a Segal Education Award valued at $1,222.22.

Our Summer Program: Current college students and recent graduates serve 450 hours over the summer at our colleges and community-based programs that address college access as well as the summer slide. Members receive a bi-weekly living allowance, professional development opportunities, and a Segal Education Award valued at $1,527.78.
